
Brance Glenn Parkinson, 42, died on February 4, 1999. He was born in Pontiac, Mich., on August 20, 1956, the son of Margie R. Hancock Parkinson and the late Harold C. Parkinson. He graduated from Caruthersville High School, class of 1974. He was employed by the Loxscreen Company of Hayti. He was also a member of the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include the following: two sons, Brance Glenn Parkinson, II, of Newbern, Tenn., and Heath Clayborn Parkinson of Gosnell, Arkansas; his mother Margie Parkinson of Caruthersville; two brothers, Harold C. Parkinson, Jr. of Orthonville, Mich., and Joseph R. Parkinson, Sr. of Clarkton, Mich.; four sisters, Debra K. Dunavant, Christie A. Bullington, Laura L. Womble, and Rhonda J. Reno, all of Caruthersville; and a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Services were held Sunday, February 7, 1999, at 2:00 p.m. at the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dr. Rick Broadway and Rev. Joe Parkinson officiating. Interment was in the Little Prairie Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve Dunavant, Dennis Green, Buster Kelly, Shannon Wallace, Larry Randle Ford, Jr., and Eddie Brooks. H.S. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of services.
