
Services for Charolette Ann Tate were held at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel on Aug. 6 with Bro. Jimmy Colvett officiating. Miss Tate died in Dallas, Texas, on Aug. 4, 1981. She was 25 years old. Miss Tate was born in Hayti on Oct. 23, 1955. She was the daughter of Mrs. Claudett Cecil and Mr. James Tate. She attended school in Caruthersville and was graduated from CHS in 1974. Miss Tate was employed as a secretary in Dallas. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Cecil of Caruthersville; her father, James Tate of Frankfort, Ky., a brother, Guy Tate of Caruthersville; two step-brothers, Mike Cecil of Dyersburg and Danny Cecil of Hayti; a sister, Mrs. Shonna Lackey of Bloomfield; a stepsister, Mrs. Donna Mayberry of Hayti; her grandmothers, Mrs. Mildred Goodale of Caruthersville and Mrs. Nell Kuntz of Vermillion, Ohio; and a step-grandmother, Marie Bell of Lafe, Ark. Pallbearers were Tom, Jim, and Tony Curtis, Don, Robert and Charles Moore.
